Leadbeater's possum
Gymnobelideus leadbeateri
Also known as the Forest Fairy, the Leadbeater's possum is native to southeast Australia. Deemed extinct, it was rediscovered in 1961, and has since been the mission of consetvationists to rebuild their population in captivity while building habitats in the wild.
